Hamlin, Johnson Winners
Posted by Travis under Uncategorized

Denny Hamlin won this weekend at Martinsville, and he was quite proud, of course. It was a tight race most of the way and there weren’t any major controversies. But the putative frontrunner for the Sprint Cup, Jimmy Johnson, came in second place and ended up in second place. This puts him even further ahead of the other racers. He almost won the race, because he led for about half the race. But Hamlin took the lead and kept it for the rest of the time. Johnson will be hard to catch for anyone, but we’ll still be hoping to see a good competition lasting until the end. But Martinsville is where Johnson came close to clinching the cup win last year too, so it’s not a huge surprise that a similar occurance happened this weekend too.
