On Saturday’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 in Phoenix, there was a surprising winner. In each race, of course, there are a lot of different possibilities for racers who might win. This time, the winner was one of the dark-horse racers in the sport. In his 36th win, Mark Martin was able to pull away from Tony Stewart with just 6 laps to go and won. Martin, who is 50 years old, might just be prouder of this win than any other in his career. His very first win was back in 1989, and he said that his life had been fulfilled at that time. But he didn’t say that this weekend, but he had a great time. Biffle, the Busch’s, Stewart, and the others were unable to hold him off, though they are still higher in the Sprint Cup Series so far.  Next up: Talladega next weekend!
